THE PIONEER EXCHANGE...
explore your pioneer vocation...
in partnership with a local church
‘The Pioneer Exchange’ will provide an exciting opportunity for individuals to explore their vocational ministry within a programme of tailored learning, and by working with local Churches to pioneer new initiatives in both traditional and Fresh Expression of Church contexts within the Diocese of Ely.
We are looking for six enthusiastic people to serve as ‘Pioneer Partners’ for two years in a rural or urban placement, to experience parish ministry and to start a pioneering project. Successful applicants will live in shared accommodation as part of The Pioneer Exchange.

how will the PIONEER EXCHANGE work?
Successful applicants will work alongside ordained and lay teams to serve in the ministry of a local Church. Two placements will allow the applicant to choose to apply for a Youth Ministry focus engaging with 11-18s.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BENEFIT FROM:
They will be invited to pitch for funding from our Local Mission Project Fund to kick start or rejuvenate a pioneering project that they will lead on in their placement parish supported by a facilitated Action Learning Set.
WHO IS THE PIONEER EXCHANGE FOR?
We are looking for ‘Pioneer Partners’ – people who want to explore their own ministry skills, sense God maybe calling them into something new, and who are passionate about seeing the local Church grow by pioneering new initiatives.
If this sounds like you then apply for an application pack today for your chance to explore your vocational ministry within the Diocese of Ely.
WHERE IS IT BASED?
WHERE IS IT BASED?
Placements will be located across Cambridgeshire, West Norfolk, and Peterborough in a local church context that has a ‘blended economy’ of traditional and Fresh Expressions of Church. Successful applicants will live together in shared rented accommodation in two locations, each with access to good local amenities and rail and bus routes.
Due to the geography of Ely Diocese some placement parishes will require a current driving license and access to a car.
